2016 Grants To Local Charities

Hungry Kids Program at Chino Valley School District: Awarded a $5,000 grant to provide food for the weekend needs of disadvantaged children.

Boys to Men Mentoring Network – Awarded a $2,000 grant to support its innovative programs designed to encourage teenage boys to become responsible individuals.

Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary – Awarded a $3,000 grant to the upgrade of Pronghorn Ramada, an outdoor educational gazebo structure.

Community Pregnancy Center – Awarded a $2,500 grant to provide education and mentoring to expectant individuals and couples.

Horses with H.E.A.R.T.S. – Awarded a $4,000 grant to support a salaried volunteer coordinator for this charity that provides therapeutic equestrian activities for the disabled.

Coalition for Compassion and Justice – Awarded a $5,000 grant to support the salary of a maintenance specialist for their “Second Chance’ housing program.

Yavapai County Sheriff’s Response Team – Awarded a $3,000 grant to be used for veterinarian expenses for dogs injured during such search and rescue calls.

Yavapai Family Advocacy Center: Awarded a grant of $7,500 to provide funding for a licensed “Forensic Interviewer’ for their clients.

Yavapai CASA for Kids: Awarded a $2,500 grant to provide emergency clothing for children in the local foster care program.

Trauma Intervention Program: Awarded a $2,500 grant to provide specialized training for its volunteer dispatchers.

Prescott Area Shelter Services: Awarded a $3,000 grant to provide transportation services for its clients.
