In the past 15 months, the Foundation has gifted more than $250,000 to various community projects and initiatives.
More than $150,000 was given to our local educational institutions including:
Granite Mountain School – $41,861 to purchase band instruments.
The ASCEND Autism School – $40,000 to purchase iPads and speech software, provide scholarships, and to refurbish the school bus.
Mountain View Elementary School – $34,000 to complete the adaptive playground for children with special needs.
Chino Valley High School – $13,623 to support the robotics club and to outfit the high school archery team.
Yavapai College – $17,400 to support the Community Healthcare Scholars Program.
Bradshaw Mountain and Prescott High Schools – Each received $2,500 for club activities.
The remaining $100,000 was given to a variety of local charities and programs including:
Prescott Valley Performing Arts – $27,683 for outfitting of the new Main Street Theater.
What You Do Matters Law Enforcement Program – $18,777 for course supplies and a state-wide conference.
Boys and Girls Club – $12,500 to sponsor their Dancing with the Stars event.
Hungry Kids Program – $19,000 to the Chino Valley and Dewey-Humboldt programs.
Arizona Crisis Team – $5,000 for new communications equipment.
Boys to Men Mentoring – $2,000 for expansion of services.
Margret T. Morris Center – $2,600 for music therapy program.
Prescott Area Shelter Services – $5,100 for expansion of services.
Prescott POPS Symphony – $4,500 for the Memory Music concert.
Red Cross of Northern Arizona – $2,500 for its fire prevention program.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Search Dog Unit – $3,000 for specialized canine training.
