Grants
Over the last five years, the Jewish Community Foundation’s grant process has awarded over $1.36 million to fund various organizations and initiatives within the Quad-Cities area. Major areas of interest included: basic services, education, and the arts. Recipients included:
Basic Services Awarded over $300,000: This category included the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arizona ($37,000), the Coalition for Compassion and Justice ($36.400), Yavapai County Education Services Association ($32,700), the Hungry Kids Programs in Chino Valley and Dewey ($23,000), Prescott Area Shelter Services ($20,600) and the Paulden Food Bank ($10,000).
Education Awarded over $1,010,000: This category included the What You Do Matters Law Enforcement Program ($495,000), the Community Healthcare Scholars’ Program at Yavapai College ($100,000), the Prescott Unified School District ($187,000), the Humboldt Unified School District ($100,000), the Chino Valley Unified School District ($29,000) and the Yavapai County Free Library ($25,000).
The Arts Awarded over $42,000: This category included funding for the Main Street Theater for the Prescott Valley Performing Arts ($37,500), Prescott POPS Symphony ($4,500) and the Prescott Chorale ($2,100).
The Jewish Community Foundation has also provided grants to Temple B’rith Shalom and the Chabad of Prescott.
