2021/2020/2019 Grants
Within the most recent three years, the Jewish Community Foundation’s grant process has awarded over $400,000 to fund various organizations and initiatives within the Quad-Cities area. Major areas of interest included: basic services, education, and the arts. Recipients included:
Basic Services Awarded over $101,000: This category included the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arizona ($25,000), the Hungry Kids Programs in Chino Valley and Dewey ($11,000), the Coalition for Compassion and Justice ($31,500), Central Arizona Seniors’ Association ($4,000), and Kind Defined ($1,750).
Education Awarded over $240,000: This category included the Community Healthcare Scholars’ Program at Yavapai College ($52,200), the What You Do Matters Law Enforcement Program ($12,000), the Yavapai County Educational Services Agency ($37,697), the Prescott Unified School District ($116,022), the Humboldt Unified School District ($45,821), and the Chino Valley Unified School District ($18,250).
The Arts Awarded over $34,000: This category included funding for the Main Street Theater for the Prescott Valley Performing Arts ($32,367) and Prescott Chorale ($2,100).
The Jewish Community Foundation has also provided grants to Temple B’rith Shalom and the Chabad of Prescott.
